Each square meter of the Ozguven office has been meticulously allocated for different functions, taking into consideration the number of employees and the triangular shape of the floor plan. This thoughtful approach ensures that every area serves a specific purpose, maximizing efficiency and productivity.
The design concept revolves around creating an office environment that is both visually impressive and comfortable. The use of exposed concrete, solid wood, brick, and black metal throughout the space creates a harmonious and industrial aesthetic. These materials are locally enriched with the firm's logo color, adding a touch of vibrancy and identity to the overall design.
One of the standout features of the Ozguven office is the attention to detail in the ceiling coatings, furniture, and lighting. These elements not only enhance the overall design style but also contribute to the functionality and ambiance of each area. The ceilings have been designed as exposed concrete and open ceilings, allowing for the visibility of mechanical and electrical accessories. Additionally, metal coverings, mesh, and lighting have been strategically incorporated to separate the corridor ceiling over the executive axle.
The design team, Arkiteam Architects, has ensured that the Ozguven office is not only visually appealing but also practical in terms of its layout. The triangular floor plan is divided into two sections, with the building core in the center. The hall and cafe section, where visitors are welcomed, are located on the same horizontal axis. The office itself is divided into two working areas around the building core, with a meeting room positioned at the intersection of these two areas.
The Ozguven office design project took place in Istanbul, Turkey, starting in April 2017 and concluding in November 2017. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to meet the requirements of the client and create a space that is natural, comfortable, and functional. Various industrial offices and offices with similar functions were analyzed to draw inspiration and establish a baseline for the design.
Overcoming the challenges presented by the brief, the design team successfully divided the space based on functions and carefully analyzed the workflow order in the office. The result is an industrial and assertive office that not only meets the needs of the employees but also positively impacts their performance.
